Medical Physicist

A part of the CCND team since the center’s opening, Yuri Ellis makes sure radiation is delivered properly to all patients by performing and maintaining Quality Assurance programs. Quality is, of course, a top priority here because, as Yuri explains, “CCND strives to provide the best of the best for the patient and their family.” His duties as a medical physicist also include assisting medical dosimetrists in treatment planning and review.

Yuri’s education includes a BSc in biological science from Loyola University in Chicago and an MS in medical physics from FUHS/The Chicago Medical School. Along with fellow CCND medical physicist Christopher Baird and another physicist, Yuri formed ePhysics, a service that provides onsite and remote physics support.

In his spare time, Yuri enjoys exercising, particularly cycling, and is a devoted car enthusiast.
