Medical Physicist

Medical physicist Christopher Baird has been with CCND since the center opened. He maintains Quality Assurance programs to ensure radiation is delivered properly to each patient. Christopher also lends a hand to medical dosimetrists as they create and review treatment plans.  In doing so, he contributes to a level of patient care he describes as a combination of technology comparable to that of a major cancer center and the personalized approach of a small clinic.

Christopher holds a BA in physics from North Central College in Illinois and an MS in medical physics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Before joining CCND, he and two other physicists formed ePhysics, a service that provides onsite and remote physics support.

Christopher is proud to share that he’s a Chicago Bears fan, adding, though, that he “sympathizes for those hapless Viking fans out there.” He also enjoys golf, baseball, and travel.
